The 7th/8th grade boys basketball team had an outstanding season. They finished the regular season 4-1, including four wins in a row by more than 20 points, and won the CPS Fullerton Regional Championship on March 16 against Lasalle, having defeated Ames (38-19) in the 1st round, the previously undefeated Yates (31-22) in the 2nd round, and Manierre in the semi-finals (39-34). The Bulldogs advanced to the sweet 16 city-wide tournament, but lost in overtime in the 1st round. Congratulations to the team for their excellent record and sportsmanship and to coaches Jon Singer and Dave Lewin, along with David Booth and Mayer's own Coach Francis. The team and their coaches thank the parents, faculty, and fans who cheered them on. Go Bulldogs!
